From the moment we opened our doors on 4th July 2024 in the beautiful market town of Howden, The Bull & Lobster has been built around a simple philosophy: exceptional steak, the freshest seafood, and genuine Yorkshire hospitality.
The story began with two friends, Adam and John, whose shared passion for great food, fine wine and unforgettable dining experiences sparked an idea that quickly became reality. Countless conversations, late-night planning sessions and a love for perfectly cooked steaks and fresh lobster set the wheels in motion, creating a restaurant where quality ingredients and warm welcomes always come first.
Following the incredible success of our first restaurant at The Waterwheel, it wasn't long before The Bull & Lobster found a second home at The White Hart in the historic town of Retford. Here, our reputation for premium steaks and fresh Bridlington lobster has continued to grow, bringing together the very best of land and sea on every plate.
